- ABOUT JD -
JD Kelleher is an Irish LGBT actor and singer who lives in London. His debut single, a cover of Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' became the best selling rock tune of the marriage equality referendum in Ireland in 2015. He followed this with some acclaimed releases on his debut EP The Ugly Tree. JD won Best Music Video 2019 at Brighton Rocks Film Festival, UK, for his song, 'Redeem'. Now in 2021, JD has kicked the year off with a burst of positivity with new single and video 'Give Me Light'.
"The song is a free expression of love and desire between two men. In that sense it's a love song. As a gay man and a gay artists, of course it means the world to me to be able to do that... I don't hear nearly enough of that on the radio... but all that aside, I love the song. Pop music has always been a huge part of my life, and lockdowns have reconnected me with that passion" - JD Kelleher via TrueStyleMusic.com
"Described by JD as “…a cool, chilled, gay love song with lovely appropriate pronouns and everything”, the new video (released 15 January 2021) delivers a cinematic and encapsulating choreography of dance, reflection and light, filmed on the idyllic beaches of Fanore, County Clare" - GigSoupMusic.com
